چکیده

Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the commonest malignancy in Egypt secondary to endemic hepatitis virus. Dual with HCC infrequently reported. We herein retrospectively collected data of patients another primary tumor from a tertiary cancer center. Fifteen were enrolled this case series, epidemiologic data, type second malignancy, time interval between both tumors, treatment applied, and pattern recurrence survival are displayed. Third tumors synchronous, while rest was mostly malignancy. Breast encountered other primary. None malignancies recurred after except for prostate which not treated radically. The median overall shorter than previously published series about 29 months. In conclusion, dual had more complicated panels; however, they necessarily carrying worse prognosis. outcome remains main predictor survival.

Caspase polymorphisms and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma

The aim of our study was to determine the impact of genetic polymorphisms in the caspase (CASP) genes on prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We genotyped 7 potentially functional polymorphisms in CASP3, CASP7, CASP8, CASP9, CASP10 genes in 362 HCC patients of receiving surgical resection of HCC tumor. The associations of genotype and haplotype with overall survival (OS) and disease fre...

Molecular Determinants of Prognosis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the leading causes of death by cancer worldwide. Prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma is determined by characteristics of the tumor and the surrounding cirrhotic liver. Several molecular signatures reflecting tumor biology and derived from tumor analyses predict early tumor recurrence and survival. In contrast, molecular signatures from cirrhotic non-tumor sa...

Sarcoidosis-associated hepatocellular carcinoma.

Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous inflammation of unknown etiology, and seems to involve the liver parenchyma in most cases. However, sarcoidosis-associated hepatocellular carcinoma is rare. We report here a case in which a hepatocellular carcinoma occurred within the liver, which was probably involved as a result of systemic sarcoidosis. A 57-year-old Japanese man had been followed up fo...
